The award goes to… find out the winners at the 2020 AM Awards
Almost a thousand motor industry executives gathered to celebrate the 2020 AM Awards at Birmingham’s ICC – where accolades were handed to exceptional businesses, teams, individuals and products in the UK’s motor retail industry.
Tim Rose, AM editor, said: “We’re pleased to recognise the latest successes of our automotive industry, particularly after a challenging 2019 car market for a sector which is managing rapid change in technology, systems and processes. Congratulations to all the winners, and also to every finalist who was shortlisted by our judging panel.”

Used Car of the Year Award
A team from Car Care Plan attended the event, where we once again sponsored the Used Car of the Year Award, demonstrating our continued support of the fantastic achievements and success stories within the automotive industry.
The Kia Sportage had claimed the award four years running but 2020 marks the end of the winning streak, as the Volkswagen Golf took home the title this year. Judges cited the “breadth of engine types”, number of UK sales and dominance on Auto Trader as the most viewed vehicle in 2019 for the Golf’s win.
Alongside the Golf and Sportage, the finalists for the hotly contested award included the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Niro, Mazda3 and Peugeot 3008.
Among the other categories at this year’s event were Best Used Car Dealership, Best Dealer Group, Best in Customer Service, Manufacturer of the Year and the AM Hall of Fame, which recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the automotive industry during their career.
