Claims Specialist

The primary function of the Claims Specialist role is to handle in bound telephone calls, emails and written correspondence in agreed markets where CCP have a presence which includes such jurisdictions as, the UK, EMEA, APAC, Oceania, America and Latin America.

Principle Responsibilities

Handling:

  • In bound telephone calls
  • E-mails
  • Written correspondence
  • Expert Reports
  • Claims Payments
  • Support Finance teams when requested
  • Supporting UK and European Sales Department & Account Managers where required
  • To ensure that all assessment instructions are processed, transferred or cancelled in a timely and accurate manner

Skills & Attributes

  • Technically some of the vehicles involved are state of the art technologies and may have multiple on board computer systems, large diesel engines and multiple hydraulic systems
  • The claims handlers will liaise with repair workshops who service these vehicles or repair machinery
  • The claims handlers will interpret the cause of failure and authorise claims based on coverage remit

Key Attributes:

  • Technical knowledge
  • Experience in the Auto Industry, construction desirable but not essential
  • Technical knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • In depth knowledge of mechanical / electrical repairs

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in this sector
  • City & Guilds or similar
